The giant burger is a never-
frozen beef patty served with American style oozing cheese, white onions, shredded lettuce, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and sweet mayonnaise.
If you want a more South Carolina-esque fast food experience, pull in at the funky neon sign at Whiteford’s Giant Burger.
The chef depicted in the sign holding up a huge burger and milkshake is Big Irvin, who was part of the family that started the restaurant in 1957. The shoes he’s wearing would have been suitable about 19 centuries earlier at the Colosseum in Rome.
Ernie Whiteford is the second generation to run the place.
Whiteford’s has a bright, clean dining room complete with Wi-Fi service. It offers typical Southern fare three meals a day. Burgers, fried chicken and french fries are popular, but you also can get salads, fried seafood and side items such as mac and cheese, okra and green beans.
Family Owned AND LOCALLY OPERATED IN THE STATE SINCE 1957!
